Voting for the project logo!
How to voting?
Coordinators please select 50 students in your school.
Each student gets their own form for scoring.
I posted all the logos – which
you send me. They are marked with
numbers from 1 to the 5.
YOU ARE
NOT SCORING FOR YOUR OWN LOGO!!!!!
Each student must give the points to each logo, depending on
how he/she likes it. The logo, which is like the most gets 5 points, and so on.
Then the coordinators set up the points of all 50 students (For each logo summing up all the points
received by the students ) and send me the scorecard points.
Coordinators going to send the results only to ME personally!!
I will do the assembler and in Istanbul I will declared
the winner.
Dear students!
Wait for the scoring form which you'll receive from your teachers. Please don't tell to your friends from partners school, which logo is from your country.
Deadline to sent me your results is 30 april.
Tanja
p.s.
The logo number 4 should be seeing like a book...The blog by itself turn it to the vertical and I can't turn it on horizontal. So please imagine it is a book with the flags of partners countires!

Easter Market
There was an Easter market at our school today. Students were selling hand-made Easter decorations or sweets that were made by them or their parents. Everyone wanted to take part in this annual event because we always give the money we collect to someone who really needs it. Last year we gave money to a hospital that treats children who suffer from cancer. In the pictures you can see our students (some of you may recognize Lucia and Petra:-)) and the stuff they made themselves. Everyone who spent at least one euro got a ticket for a raffle. Our school bought a lot of prizes that the lucky students won in the raffle. The raffle can be seen in the last two pictures.

Easter in Greece and France
Since Helene, our Comenius Assistant, is from both of these countries, she prepared a nice presentation about Easter traditions for our students. They learnt about differences between French and Greek Easter and heard some songs that are always sang at that time. Our students learnt some Greek and French words too. Helene brought a lot of hard boiled eggs in order to demostrate how Greeks play traditional Easter game called tsougrisma. In Greek it is spelt like that - τσούγκρισμα.
The rules are simple. Each player holds a red egg, and one taps the end of her/his egg lightly against the end of the other player's egg. The goal is to crack the opponent's egg. When one end is cracked, the winner uses the same end of her/his egg to try to crack the other end of the opponent's egg.
The player who successfully cracks the eggs of the other players is declared the winner and, he is said to have good luck during the year.
As you can see, the eggs our students are holding are not red. But it doesn´t matter. They enjoyed it all the same.

Slovak Easter traditions at school
Hello,
today our youngest (6 year-old) students performed some Slovak Easter traditions at school. They visited all classes and in each class they sang Easter songs and chants. Some boys had a whip and they whipped gently all girls as well as female teachers, others had a bucket full of cold water, which they poured on those girls and ladies who were standing nearby:-) As you can see in the photos, they were all wearing nice folk costumes in order to keep our traditions alive.

I would like to dedicate it to everyone who participates in our project, especially to the families of all school coordinators: Tanja, David, Burcu and Amanda.
Have a wonderful spring:-)
Love,

ITALIAN EASTER TRADITIONS
EASTER
Easter is a Christian festival and holiday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day after his crucifixion at Calvary as described in the New Testament aster is the culmination of the Passion of Christ, preceded by Lent, a forty-day period of fasting, prayer, and penance.
The last week of Lent is called Holy Week, and it contains the days of the Easter Triduum, including Maundy Thursday (also known as Holy Thursday), commemorating the Last Supper and its preceding foot washing.
EASTER BREAKFAST IN OUR COUNTRY
The end of Lent used to be celebrated in Italy with the devouring of many special Easter dishes which had been prepared throughout the previous month.
A collective ritual which involved cheesecakes and typical sweet Easter cakes all made from excessive amounts of eggs.
Today, the tradition is less dramatic but the eggy cakes still play a big part, but 'cheese cake' is still traditionally eaten for breakfast on Easter Day.
This is not the dessert cheesecake, but a bread made more savoury with the addition of local cheese. Friday, commemorating the crucifixion and death of Jesus.
EASTER CHOCOLATE EGGS
Easter eggs are decorated eggs that are often given to celebrate Easter or springtime. As such, Easter eggs are common during the season of Eastertide. The oldest tradition is to use dyed and painted chicken eggs, but a modern custom is to substitute chocolate eggs, or plastic eggs filled with confectionery such as jelly beans. Eggs, in general, were a traditional symbol of fertility, and rebirth.[
