HOW WE MADE OUR IDEA OF THE PROJECT LOGO! Pictures regarding to the logo.

AND THE WINNER IS.........

ITALY

The Italian logo represents a book to let us remind the importance of Comenius who believed that knowledge must be intercultural. We have chosen the book as image because World book day is on April 23rd when in Nerola we celebrate  our Patron Saint. On top of this the book is open because it means that we love and appreciate our continent Europe we accept our position within Europe and our belonging is stressed on the European flag which is in the middle of the book but we also take into account the flags of the  countries belonging to our project, whose title is inscribed at the bottom of the book.

With this logo we would like to put the accent on culture and our european belonging.

CONGRATULATION TO THE STUDENTS OF ITALY!!!!!

I'm Kristjan . I am visiting the 9 grade of primary school in Žetale. My hobbies are drive my bike, reading books or play computer games. My goals ar successfully complete the primary school. I am looking forward to visit Istanbul  soon.

EUROPEAN DAY 2014 - TEN YEARS WHEN SLOVENIA JOINED THE EU

Students of primary and secondary schools in the Podravje region are celebrated 10th anniversary of enter Slovenia to  the EU  in a way that they prepare the European market, in which each school presented one European country. Žetale was assigned to Italy. I hope that we have a well-presented, as you can see from the images and video.

Eurovision Song Contest 2014

The Eurovision Song Contest, as you all know, is the annual song competition held among the member countries of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) since 1956.

The contest has been broadcast every year since its inauguration in 1956 and is one of the longest-running televison programme in the world. It is also one of the most watched non-sporting events in the world with audience figures having been quoted in recent years as anything between 100 million and 600 million internationally. Eurovision has also been broadcast outside Europe to such places as Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, Egypt, India, Japan, Jordan, Mexico, New Zealand, the Philippines, Suriname, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, the United States, Uruguay and Venezuela although these countries do not compete and since 2000, the contest has also been broadcast over internet, via the Eurovision website.

This year, three of our partners countries will take part in such a big television event. They are the countries, and their songs:

International Day of the Book in IES El Batán

MIGUEL DE CERVANTES SAAVEDRA, Spanish writer born in Alcalá de Henares on September 27, 1547 and died in Madrid on April 22, 1616. He is considered one of the leading figures of Spanish literature and universally known for writing "Don Quixote", which many critics have described as the first modern novel and one of the greatest works of world literature, besides being the book edited and translated most of history, second only to the Bible. It has been given the nickname "Prince of Wits"

 

In the memory of Miguel de Cervantes’ death (as well as the birth of William Shakespeare), and in order to encourage reading in the world, Unesco issued on April 23 as International Day of the Book.

This is the way we celebrate the International Day of the Book in IES El Batán, with music, dance, representations and reading small pieces of Canary writers and the winner of our annual literature contest.
