Students from partner schools have sent us a description of their countries. They pointed out some of the most typical sights and information about their country. Each country is very interesting. We are very excited to visit them.

AKŞEMSETTIN PRIMARY SCHOOL' S THANKS MESSAGES FOR TANJA

Dear friends, here you will find the translation of thanks messages for Tanja. 

The first one is from the teacher of 4th graders.
 

 

"Dear Tanja, we - me, my students and parents of my students- are very happy because of your visit to our class. We learnt about your education system and by this way we had a chance to compare two education systems. You gave me the chance to observe another teacher from abroad and i recognised that you were so good at communicating with students. We all listened to you with pleasure. I can say that your students in Slovenia are so lucky to have a teacher like you.  Thank you so much for your visit to our class and we are looking forward to see you in our school in May. Another one is from our science teacher who came from Bulgaria. Tanja spoke Macedonian and our teacher spoke Bulgarian and they could communicate very well.

"I had a chance to meet with Tanja by means of the comenius project that my colleague Burcu coordinates at our school. When Tanja first came to school, we didn't communicate because i couldn't speak English but some time later we recognised that we could speak Slav languages which had more in common. After that our communication got more sincere.By means of our conversations,  I realised that Tanja was very professional, experienced  teacher in her field and she had a wide perspective. We talked about our education systems and had a chance to compare them. 

Tanja is very sincere, sophisticated, vivacious and self confident. She is respectful to the lives of other people and very curious to learn about them. I can say that she can adapt very quickly and she gives positive energy to the people around her.

WE HAD OUR GUEST IN AKŞEMSETTIN PRIMARY SCHOOL

Dear friends,
As you know, Tanja had a study visit to our school between the dates 24th and 31st of December, 2013. During this period, we did lots of things related to the project activities, observing and comparing education systems and visiting a special school.
Before Tanja came to our school, our teachers and students were informed about that visit and they were curious about Tanja and her visit. When she came, the teachers and students were very happy to see someone so sincere, smiling, always positive and energetic. They were impressed by her visit. She visited some of our classes, observed some lessons, worked with the project group on posters introduced Slovenia and its educatioan system, visited a special school, took care of a special student in my class and answered many questions asked by our students.
This was an extraordinary and great period for both our teachers and students. Now, I have a lot of "thank you" letters from our students for Tanja. I will translate some of them and publish on our blog.

Slovak students attending Las Palmas mobility

Hello everyone,

my name is Lucy and I am 15 years old. I am a huge ice hockey fan. You usually see me smiling or laughing, I am a very happy person. I have got two brothers, one of them is still a baby:-) I like reading books and sewing. I am truly looknig forward to my visit in Spain. See you in Las Palmas! Adios amigos=)

My name is Petra. I am in Year 8, so I am a year younger than Lucy. What do I like ?
I love animals especially wolfs, deer and of course dogs. I like all kinds of sports. And music:-) My favourite kind of music is rock. I also like black colour but sometimes I like to wear other colours like purple, blue, green,... In my free time I like to go out with my friends and have a nice day with them or when it´s a rainy day, I like to read some books at home. Now about food:  I eat all kinds of food, vegetables, fruit,meat. I am a friedly person. I like to meet new people. That´s me and I hope you like me. I am very happy that I will have a chance to visit your country. I really want to meet you.

VISIT SPASTIC CHILDREN'S FUNDATION OF TURKEY AND METIN SABANCI SCHOOL IN ISTANBUL

Thanks to the intervention Eksemettin school headmaster, Mr Nihat, I was allowed to visit  the Spastic children's fundation of Turkey,  their Metin Sabanci education and rehabilitation center and Metin Sabanci primary school for children with cerebral palsy. 

The Spastic Children's Fundation of Turkey was founded in 1989. They must commemorate to the prof. dr. Hifzi Ozcan and Sabanci Family - Sakip Sabanci who making prof. dr. Ozkcan's ideals come to life. Without their faithful support and generous contributions, SCFT wouldn't be the fondation it is today.

I meet with the headmaster of the Metin Sabanci primary school and with the project manager of the fundation. I spoke with very enthusiastic headmaster, excellent instructors and special teachers who are experts in their field teach with the most advanced pedagogic methods and materials. What I saw, It very impressed me.

Sincerely and deeply from my heart, I want to thank the leadership of the Foundation and the school, that gave me this oportunity to see their institution and work. I wish and I hope that  we can try  to develop a joint project on aspect of  this area of education. I would like to stay in touch with you.

Metin Sabanci school launched its educational program in 16nt October 2011 with the generous donation and support of Sakip Sabanci Family and the Sabanci fudation. The school also accepts mentally challenged children regardless of the degree of their mental deficiency. School have an enclosed space of four thousand square meters.
