Primary School Žetale from 19 to 24 May 2015, hosted the last partnership meeting of schools which in the two years, through project activities get to know what it means to be a citizen of Europe. Their partners come from Las Palmas, Gran Canaria Spain, Istanbul, Turkey, Montorio Romano, Italy and Kosice, Slovakia.
The conference was attended by MEP Dr. Igor Šoltes and Slovak Ambassador and Deputy Ambassador of Turkey. At the outset they be addressed by the headmistress Primary School Žetale dr. Silvestra Klemenčič and project coordinator Tanja Nikolovski.
Children of kindergarten and primary school Žetale prepared a varied international cultural program, then dr. Šoltes presented his work in the European Parliament, the functioning of the European Union and answered questions raised by Žetale primary school students and partner schools.
Dr. Šoltes then ask questions to the students and guests are jointly determined what the level of awareness of European citizenship and the functioning of the EU in general. The Ambassador presented what it means to be an ambassador, what are the obligations and how someone becomes Ambassador.
