Christmas market in school Žetale

In Primary school Žetale we organized a Christmas market last Thursday. Throughout November and in the beginning of December, the students and their teachers made products for Christmas stalls. The result was a lot of very beautiful and interesting Christmas decorations and gifts.

We also had our own currency, very typical for Žetale, CHESTNUTS - we exchanged euros into chestnuts in our school exchange office.

In the photos below, you can see what we offered our visitors and what the atmosphere at the market was like. Enjoy.

Logo of the project

The logo represents a book to let us remind the importance of Comenius who believed that knowledge must be intercultural. We have chosen the book as image because World book day is on April 23rd when in Nerola we celebrate our Patron Saint. On top of this the book is open because it means that we love and appreciate our continent Europe we accept our position within Europe and our belonging is stressed on the European flag which is in the middle of the book but we also take into account the flags of the countries belonging to our project, whose title is inscribed at the bottom of the book. With this logo we would like to put the accent on culture and our european belonging.
