Slovak Easter traditions at school

Hello,

today our youngest (6 year-old) students performed some Slovak Easter traditions at school. They visited all classes and in each class they sang Easter songs and chants. Some boys had a whip and they whipped gently all girls as well as female teachers, others had a bucket full of cold water, which they poured on those girls and ladies who were standing nearby:-) As you can see in the photos, they were all wearing nice folk costumes in order to keep our traditions alive.

    1. Thank you Amanda. It is sad that some traditions are dying out, don´t you think? That´s why we try to teach our students not only Maths, Slovak and Geography, but also our traditons.

      Have a nice day,
